Handicrafts from India, checked at every step.

Sutra Global finds the makers, arranges and checks samples, follows production, inspects before shipping and prepares the documents for importers of handicrafts and handicraft fabrics. You pay us. The makers do not.

What we do

From the first sample to the delivered carton

01

Find

We search the artisan clusters for items that fit your brief, including new designs you have not seen, and check each maker ourselves.

02

Check

Written specification, agreed limits for handmade variation, and an inspection against both before anything ships.

03

Ship

Packing and marking to a fixed standard, with the invoice, packing list, origin papers and certificates prepared.

04

Follow up

Weekly updates with photos, a dated schedule, and a record we use to settle any claim.

Beyond the starting collection

Looking for a different product from India?

The handicrafts collection is our starting focus for sourcing. You can also send a brief for other products. We review the category, required quality and documentation, and the practical sourcing process before agreeing to undertake an assignment.

Textiles and home furnishings

Product requirements, samples, materials, finishing and packing.

Furniture and interior products

Design, construction, dimensions, finishing, export packing and documents.

Other made-to-order or industrial products

Send a specification and we can evaluate how supplier search and inspection would work.

Every category is assessed individually. We do not claim to have pre-approved manufacturers or certifications for every product. Compliance, testing and export requirements must be established before an order.

Why importers work with us

Three things we promise, and how you can check them

01

We work for you only

We take no commission from makers and add no mark-up to their price. Our fee is on our own invoice. The licensed exporter's small margin is a separate line in every cost breakdown.

02

100% paid, 100% delivered

The cheapest quote often delivers less than it promises. We fix the specification in writing and inspect against it, so you pay for what you receive.

03

Handmade varies. Our system does not.

Every order runs on the same forms, the same packing and marking standard, the same inspection report and the same shared folder.
